June 2nd - Hike on National Trails Day

Post date: Jun 1, 2012 11:56:33 PM

June 2nd – National Trails Day Hike sponsored by RTA.

In celebration of National Trails Day we will be hosting a hike at the Ramona Grasslands Preserve off Highland Valley Road. Rather than a morning hike we chose a late afternoon hike because we will have 'close' to a full moon on the 2nd and this will allow for a beautiful sun set get together. Clint Richards will be giving a presentation on map reading and following the four mile hike we will have tables set up for those who want to participate in a pot-luck and watch the moon rise.

Meet a 4pm to gather before the hike. Wear appropriate gear for a moderate hike. For those who want, bring a pot-luck appetizer or dish to share along with your own beverage and chair. RTA will provide tables, plates, utensils, etc. and will have some bottled water on hand.

For information on the hike please contact
